Joseph Friel was a very private person, and rarely entertained
business offers, even from influential people. To honor his approach, his collection is curated
for viewing with only self-sustainability in mind -- whatever will help the collection continue
to survive in a secure place in appropriate environmental conditions and to be available for viewing
in a respectful, dignified manner is the goal of the curators of this magnificent collection.
Therefore, any requests to view or use these paintings in inappropriate manners will be rejected, with
the final definition of what is considered appropriate and inappropriate to be the curators of the
works.
The curators will not sell individual paintings to interested parties, but may perhaps be willing
to loan (perhaps on a permanent basis) individual paintings to museums and other institutions that recognize the genius involved with
the production of these paintings.
Serious inquiries for use of one or more of the paintings, either individually or the collection as a whole,
that fall within the above parameters can be made by emailing the address below. The curators reserve the
right to ignore or even block individual contacts that are not deemed to be within the spirit of Joseph Friel's
artistic integrity and life journey.
